Brenda Nadine Monk, 80, of Mebane, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Peak Resources In Graham, N.C.
Born in Danville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mast Brinkley and Arthur Bingham Brinkley. Brenda attended Bartlett Yancey High School and Alamance Community College. She loved books and was a regular visitor at the Mebane Public Library, and enjoyed keeping a beautiful garden on her patio.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Monk Sykes.
Surviving are her daughter, Jacqueline Monk Cannady, her favorite son-in-law, Freddy Ray Cannady, granddaughters Taylor Lauren Cannady and Allison Leigh Turner, all of Mebane, grandson Jonathan Darryl Sykes (Aalee) of Chula Vista, CA and her grandson Jason Ross Cannady (Amy) of Mebane, and four great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a reception honoring Brenda’s life on Sunday, August 21 from 5-7pm, to be held at the home of her daughter and son-in-law at 1023 Mill Stone Lane in Mebane.
