Gerald James Wolfe

Gerald James Wolfe, of Mercer County, PA, passed away in his home, surrounded by family and friends on March 13, 2023, at the age of 88.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Pamela Wolfe, sister Marilyn Wolfe of Virginia; his children, Terry Wolfe of Dracut, MA and Michelle Nelson of Cary, NC; three stepchildren Phillip Davis, Melissa Cook, and Karl Stamer; his eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Gerald is preceded in death by his son Gerald Michael Wolfe, his parents James and Ann Wolfe and his sister Patsy Smith.

Gerald was born on November 18, 1934, in Wheatland, PA. Throughout Gerald’s life, many people knew this man as a devout Catholic, genuine, caring, compassionate, humble, respectful and loving. He was easily admired by anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

In his profession he was known for his strong work ethic. In his early career Gerald was employed at Packard Electric in Warren, OH. Following that and using his tool and die maker expertise, he started his own business building plastic injection molds. This type of work kept him busy for decades where he shared his knowledge with the various companies including NyPro Inc. from where he retired.

His animals were spoiled through any means necessary, nothing around him didn’t receive love from his oversized heart. He loved to mow/water and care for his grass, stock car racing, waxing his cars, dancing and playing golf. He will always be remembered as a great father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.

A private family visitation is scheduled for 3pm on March 15, 2023, at Piedmont Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are desired to be given to AuthoraCare Hospice in Burlington NC.
