We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Piedmont Cremation & Funeral Service
Karen Joyce Hall passed away September 10, 2021 after a two year battle with esophageal cancer. Anyone who knew her would agree that she was one of the most unique, vibrant, creative, and resilient people they had ever known. Karen was born in Morocco, Africa, July 20, 1953 while her parents were stationed there with the Navy Seabees. As a young adult growing up in Raynham, MA, she excelled in gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading. Later she joined the Air Force after graduating high school. It was in the Air Force that she met her first husband, Danny George Crouse, of State Road, NC. They had two children, Daniel Shane Crouse, and Joyanna Brie (Crouse) Livingston, who survive her today. She is also survived by two grandchildren, of whom she was very proud: Christian Crouse and Colton Craven.
As an adult her artistic talents, combined with a love of horticulture, led her to landscape design. It was an endeavor that brought her an immense amount of joy, and her work can be seen throughout the towns of Mebane and Oriental, NC. Karen leaves behind her a multitude of loving friends and family, including a tight-knit clan of siblings: two sisters and two brothers. Her sparkling memory lives on forever in our hearts.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Piedmont Cremation & Funeral Service of Graham, NC.
