Leann was born in Binghamton, NY on March 23, 1948. While Leann grew up in Port Crane, Long Lake in the Adirondacks, where she lived until she was five years old, held a very special place in her heart. Her fondest memories were of her days spent there as a child.
Leann was an amazing artist who loved knitting and sewing. (Just a few of her many talents.) She began hand quilting many years ago and while she made countless beautiful pieces for family, friends and customers, she was most proud of the quilts she designed and created for military families that had lost a loved one while serving our country. It was truly an honor for her to give the family a quilt woven with pieces of their loved one’s clothing for them to cherish. Leann’s creativity was endless and in the past few years she sewed and made exquisite doll clothing and gained quite a following of customers, many of whom became close friends. Each recognizing the detail and beauty in each piece she made.
Leann will be deeply missed by her children, family and friends. This world will shine a little less bright for those that loved her so.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
