Ruthie Graves Woodruff was born on November 15, 1942 to the union of Eula Mae and H.J. Graves in Snow Camp, NC 27349.
Ruthie Woodruff received her formal education at Southern Alamance High in Graham, NC 27253.
Ruthie Woodruff attended Friendship UMC where she served as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, Girl Scout leader, and played softball with FUMC team.
Ruthie Graves was united in holy matrimony with James Foy Woodruff on December 31, 1982 in Burlington, NC 27215.
She was employed by E.M. Holt Elementary as an after school children’s teacher for 14 years.
In her leisure she enjoyed bowling, ceramics and oil painting.
Ruthie G. Woodruff departed this life on November 20, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Eula M. Graves & HJ Graves; her sister Jeanette Sue Graves; and her grandparents Mary Ellen Sharpe and June Sharpe.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Karen Coble Malone (Gary); one son Kevin Lee Coble (Kathy); three grandsons Roney Malone (Rebecca), Dalton and CJ Coble; one great-grandson Roney Braxton Malone; one very special Aunt Hazel Sharpe; and a large extended family.
A Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. and the service following starting at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Friendship UMC 4612 Friendship Patterson Mill Road Burlington, NC 27215 with burial following at the church.
