Sylvia Jean (Wheeler) Faucette

Sylvia Jean Faucette (nee Wheeler), 74,  peacefully passed away on March 7, 2023 in Mebane, NC. She was a lifelong resident of Alamance County, NC and was born on March 12, 1948 to the late Homer Wheeler and Hazel (Copeland) Wheeler.

Sylvia had a passion for cultivating her blooming Christmas cacti and roses. She is most remembered for her devotion to her family and community and known by everyone as loving, caring and selfless; giving with an open heart to all.  Truly dedicated to her work in assisted living facilities helping those in need, her  most treasured  times were those raising her family. 

Leaving  behind to cherish her memory are her loving children:James (Jimmy) Thomas(Tina)Faucette Jr., Phillip Lee Faucette, Teresa Faucette (Paul) Blanken, Betty Faucette (Dean) Platz; 5 Grandchildren: Victoria and PJ Blanken, Christian and Justin Shaver, and Jacob Faucette; 3 Great Grandchildren;  2 Brothers: Larry Wheeler and Earl ( Sherry) Wheeler; 3 Sisters: Barbara Wheeler, Clara (Lewis) Coble, Ellen (Greg)Pender and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

In addition to her beloved parents, she is preceded in death by her  husband, James Faucette.   

Sylvia will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.

A Homegoing Celebration of the life of Sylvia Faucette  will be held at eleven o’clock, Saturday morning, March 18, 2023, at the Charity Baptist Church, 5918  Whitney Rd, Graham, NC 27252 with Pastor James Bowman officiating.
